1. Who we are
Football Studio is a service operated by Bux Create in the United Kingdom. For information Bux Create collects for its own business purposes, Bux Create is the data controller. Privacy enquiries can be sent to support@footballstudio.co.uk.
2. Club data and our GDPR roles
For personal data that a club chooses to enter or upload to its Football Studio workspace, the club will normally be the data controller and Bux Create will act as its data processor. This includes player, staff and other club-related personal data processed to provide the service. The club determines why that information is used and is responsible for its lawful basis, transparency obligations and the instructions it gives Football Studio. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of the service terms where we process personal data on a club’s behalf.
3. Information processed
Football Studio may process account information such as name, email address, role, login and account status; club and workspace information; fixtures, teams, grounds and competitions; player information including name, squad number, position, nationality, date of birth and player photograph where supplied; club branding and media; support enquiries; and technical, security and audit information generated through use of the service.
4. Player information and photographs
Player profiles and photographs are provided by the club. Clubs must only add information that is necessary for their use of Football Studio and must ensure they have an appropriate lawful basis and any notices or permissions required for that use. Football Studio does not require clubs to provide a player photograph, nationality or date of birth unless the club chooses to use those fields for its own purposes.
5. Children and youth players
Player information may relate to children or young people. Clubs are responsible for giving particular consideration to children’s data, their best interests and the lawful basis for processing it, and for obtaining any permissions or providing any privacy information required by law or applicable safeguarding arrangements. Football Studio processes such data only to provide the club’s workspace and features on the club’s instructions, subject to the Data Processing Agreement.
6. Why we use information
For information for which Bux Create is controller, we use personal information to create and administer accounts, authenticate users, provide and secure Football Studio, communicate about the service, provide support, diagnose problems, maintain appropriate records and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Where we act as processor, we process club data to provide the contracted Football Studio service in accordance with the club’s documented instructions.
7. Lawful bases
Where Bux Create acts as controller, the lawful basis depends on the activity and may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent where required. Where a club is controller of player or other club data, the club is responsible for determining and documenting the appropriate lawful basis.
8. Service providers and sub-processors
We may use service providers to host, secure, maintain, communicate through, take payments for or otherwise operate Football Studio. Where a provider processes club personal data on our behalf, it will be engaged under appropriate data-protection terms. Our use of sub-processors is governed by the Data Processing Agreement.
9. International processing
If personal information is processed outside the United Kingdom, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data-protection law.
10. Retention and deletion
Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Clubs can delete player records and player photographs through Football Studio. At the end of a club’s service, club personal data will be returned or deleted in accordance with the Data Processing Agreement, subject to legal requirements and appropriate backup deletion cycles.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. Access to a club workspace is restricted to authorised accounts for that club and authorised administration required to operate and support the service.
12. Individual rights
If your request relates to player, staff or other information entered by a club, you should normally contact that club because it is the controller. Football Studio will assist the club with applicable data-subject requests as required by our Data Processing Agreement. For information controlled directly by Bux Create, you may contact support@footballstudio.co.uk. Depending on the circumstances, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
13. Cookies
Football Studio uses cookies and similar storage where required to operate the service. See our Cookie Policy.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as Football Studio develops or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published here with its updated date.
